Electromagnetic resonance of the Great Pyramid

icon-mk-osiris
Last month, a scientific paper was published in the Journal of Applied Physics that showed that the Great Pyramid concentrates and resonates electromagnetic radiation, in particular radio waves in the 250m-wavelength range. The authors, Mikhail Balezin, Kseniia V. Baryshnikova, Polina Kapitanova, and Andrey B. Evlyukhin explain in their paper that by modelling the Great Pyramid, in an albeit simplified form, they found that it naturally can 'collect and concentrate electromagnetic energy'. The image below shows the results of the modelling and how the e-m radiation intensifies within and beneath the pyramid.

The Great Sphinx and the Younger Dryas

icon-mk-osiris
The Great Sphinx, located on the Giza Plateau in Egypt, is a wondrous and enigmatic sculpture. Officially, it was constructed for the pharaoh Khafre in around 2500 BC, at the same time as the middle of the Giza pyramids, but there is very little evidence to support this theory. An alternative theory, developed by Dr Robert Schoch, is that the Great Sphinx was built much further back in time. He bases this theory on the way the stone around the Sphinx’s enclosure has been weathered. According to his analysis and those of consultants, the weathering of the stone has clearly been done by a lot of water falling on the stone, or lapping up against it, or both. If this is correct, then the Sphinx must have been constructed at least eight-thousand years ago, when Egypt was a wet and temperate area, before Earth’s changing climate turned it to desert.

Here is a very-well-produced documentary by the Gaia YouTube channel, describing Schoch’s theory:

After explaining Schoch’s theory, the programme-makers then put forward the idea that the Great Sphinx was originally a lion, and that the human was created later, carved out of the existing animal’s head. This seems a very reasonable idea; the current human head is clearly out of proportion to the rest of the sculpture and looks to have been a later modification.

The programme makers then point out that the sculpture is aligned to point directly at the constellation of Leo at the Spring Equinox in the zodiacal Age of Leo, around twelve-and-a-half thousand years ago. Unfortunately, the programme does then drift into some speculation, with talk of portals and channelled messages from aliens etc. All of this is possible but there is no solid evidence to back it up, and so it is of no use when creating a scientific theory.

Fortunately, other scientific evidence from our past, when combined with Schoch’s theory, can create a new theory of the Sphinx’s purpose. As with the other theories on my website, such as the Great Pyramid and 2787 BC, the Sirius Red Controversy, the Greek Myths and the Ark of the Covenant, I’m going to combine solid scientific evidence and logic to create a possible solution to the mystery of the Sphinx. Here goes…

Mysterious excavated passage in the Great Pyramid antechamber

icon-mk-osiris
While browsing Youtube, I found this very interesting video about the Great Pyramid, created by 'Ancient Architects'. Ancient Architects is creating a lot of videos about ancient mysteries and their videos are invariably accessible, interesting and enjoyable. This video includes a short explanation of the theory of Jean Pierre Houdin, who believes that there is a secret access door to the King's Chamber, leading to hidden chambers, who's location may have been recently detected by muon scattering.

The special reason I'm mentioning this particular video in my blog is that it reports that there is now an excavated passage in the Great Pyramid's antechamber. I had no idea that this access passage existed. The video's author reports that the passage was recently excavated, then sealed off from the public by a locked, iron-grille door. Read More...

Hidden chamber in the Great Pyramid

icon-mk-osiris
This week, there's been an announcement that three independent teams have detected the existence of a hidden chamber inside the Great Pyramid at Giza using muon scattering. In other words, they've been analysing how muons, subatomic particles that pass through our Earth all the time, have been deflected as they've passed through the Great Pyramid. The chamber the team detected is almost as large as the Grand Gallery in the Great Pyramid and is located above it and to one side, close to the King's Chamber, as shown in the picture below. Note that the teams couldn't decided exactly where the chamber was, only its approximate location and orientation.

Articles about this announcement have appeared in most of the newspapers and the BBC. The project organisers have also produced a very good video describing their work:

The Guardian has an extensive article describing what the teams found. Unfortunately, in the article one of the team members is quoted as saying:

“What we are sure about is that this big void is there, that it is impressive, and was not expected by any kind of theory,” said Tayoubi.

In fact, the French researcher Jean-Pierre Houdin developed a solid and well-grounded theory, years ago, that predicted that there had to be hidden chambers inside the Great Pyramid.

Chambers and tunnels under the Giza Plateau

icon-mk-osiris
While browsing through YouTube, I came upon this fascinating documentary in which Andrew Collins and colleagues explain their discovery of chambers and passages under the Giza plateau. As the documentary explains, Collins and his associates developed a belief that the Giza pyramids were laid out to match the Cygnus or 'Swan' constellation. They therefore concluded that the place matching the star Deneb, the main star of Cygnus, should be of great significance. They followed up on their idea, along with well-researched information they gathered together, and found an entrance leading to multiple underground chambers and passageways.

The progress of the researchers has a familiar ring. As has often been the case when enthusiasts have tried to discover the secrets of the Giza site, one person has almost always obstructed their efforts. Zahi Hawass, the head of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo at that time, first stated categorically that there were no underground chambers at the Giza site, even though the researchers had found and photographed underground chambers. He then barred the entrance to the temple concerned. He followed that up by taking a film crew down those same passages but made no effort to explore further. This tactic of Hawass's, of rubbishing theories and then blocking access to the site so that no one can explore further, has occurred multiple times. For example, after Jean-Pierre Houdin developed a sound theory of an inner ramp within the Great Pyramid, he went to Giza and discovered a collapsed corner of the pyramid wall, high up, exactly where an inner ramp could have weakened the pyramid's outer shell. Houdin had a quick look and then rapidly found the site barred to any access. Since that time, no one has been allowed to explore that collapsed corner. Similar events may happen again. Hawass is currently not the head of Egyptian Antiquities, possibly having been sacked (again), but it is possible he may be reinstated, which has also happened before.

I haven't posted a lot of information about new development at Giza in the last few years. Some readers might find this strange, as I did a lot of research on Egypt and I developed an explanation for why and when the Great Pyramid at Giza was constructed. To put it succinctly, the Great Pyramid was built between 3000 BC and 2800 BC in order to take advantage of an extremely rare celestial event; the passage of a star almost directly over the celestial North Pole. This transit occurred in 2787 BC and the star concerned was Thuban, or Alpha Draconis, 'Thuban' is Arabic for the snake and although the star is not the brightest star in the Draconis (or Dragon) constellation, it was designated a long time ago as the constellation's most important star.

The discovery of this solution has been a very strange experience for me. After developing this answer to the mystery of the Great Pyramid's construction and writing about it, I did assume that the answer, based entirely on straightforward astronomy and the Great Pyramid's physical attributes, would be rapidly disseminated, accepted and repeated by others. The solution can't be dismissed as an interpretation as there is no interpretation involved. No translations or hypotheses are required; it's a simple case of geometry and astronomical observation. And yet, I've seen no indication that anyone has picked up this ball and run with it. What's more, my attempts to directly pass on the information to others - researchers, magazines - has met with stony silence; It's all very odd. Understandably, I think, such a complete void of encouragement and interest has sapped my enthusiasm and I've focussed my energies on other topics instead.

I'll keep plugging away whenever possible. In the meantime, do enjoy the above documentary.

Mysteries of our Ancient Past documentary

icon-mk-osiris
There aren't a lot of documentaries exploring controversial evidence about our ancient past in Britain nowadays (readers can come to their own conclusions about why that is so). The United States does have the interesting 'Ancient Aliens' series but that it is very whizz-bang and, not surprisingly, very preoccupied about evidence of alien visitations. In fact, they see aliens in so many pieces of controversial evidence that it becomes ludicrous at times, but there's no doubt it can be fun to watch and there are some fascinating nuggets in many of the episodes.

Here is a more measured documentary from Europe, exploring strange evidence about our ancient past. It includes well-known writers in the field such as Colin Wilson, Eric Bauval and Christopher Dunn. I very much enjoyed the documentary and was happy with a lot of its content, apart from the last fifteen minutes when it strayed into the theory of crust displacement. Although I don't feel that crust displacement is impossible, I think other, more established natural events can explain what happened at the end of our last ice age. For example, I am particularly convinced that our planet was bombarded by a shower of meteorites, the Younger Dryas Impact event, which itself could have been caused by the strange Planet X or Nibiru entering our inner solar system again as part of its 17,000 year orbit.

If I find more interesting documentaries, I'll post them up here. It can be very tedious, trawling through youtube, looking for decent documentaries, and so I'll try and act as a filter, posting those programmes I find that I think are worth watching.

Giza Pyramids & Baalbek documentary

While I'm finalising the digital editions of 'The Great Secret' graphic novel, I thought readers might enjoy this excellent U.S. documentary on the whole topic of the Giza Pyramids. The documentary explains, with lots of examples, why it's clear from an engineering point of view that the Giza Pyramids couldn't have been built with copper tools. The programme mentions Christopher Dunn's excellent research and his book 'The Giza Power Plant', which I heartily recommend to anyone keen to find out how the Giza Pyramids were actually constructed. Dunn's conclusions in the book are astonishing, but they are grounded in science and extensive evidence.

I also really enjoyed the style and pace of the documentary. I do enjoy watching 'Ancient Aliens' now and then, but this earlier documentary's measured pace and calm reflection is a breath of fresh air compared to the 'whizz-bang-flash!' of many modern documentaries. It was aired in 1999 but it seems like it's from the early 80's! Love the beard…

The Great Pyramid and 2787 BC

For the last few years, I've been working on an ancient mystery story. Its first incarnation was a non-fiction book called 'The Golden Web' but after some feedback, I realised that early version was too dense and convoluted to appeal to many readers. Instead, I've been creating a graphic novel about the same subject using the same researched material, evidence and ideas. This graphic novel is currently entitled 'The Great Secret'. It isn't yet complete. When I do complete it, I'll be looking for a publisher. I'll post any news of that progress when it occurs.

As part of spreading awareness of the graphic novel and the ideas contained within it, I've posted an article on this website about a key piece of evidence that I unearthed while researching the story. As the title of this blog entry indicates, the key piece of evidence concerns the Great Pyramid and the year 2787 BC, when a crucial celestial event occurred. For a full explanation, do please read the article.
